  • Do I need to cook and prepare food?


  • Yes, unless you live in New York City where there are many organic vegetarian restaurants, someone will have prepare the food in this diet. However, one of the basic tenets of the MericleDiet is to reduce the amount of time spent in the kitchen by cooking and preparing large quantities of food usually once a week. This food is then "short-term stored" in your refrigerator or "long-term stored" in your freezer.

  • Is this diet based on recipes?


  • No. This diet is more a "system" of food preparation. If you are looking for recipes then this diet is probably not for you. However, there is a recipe forum on the MericleDiet site and we now have a free ebook "Seven Days of Great Vegan Meals" which will help to get you started on the MericleDiet. It also contains many recipes and includes a "Tofu Primer."

  • Is this diet vegetarian or vegan?


  • This diet is purely "vegan." All foods prepared in this diet are vegan. However, another tenet of the MericleDiet is that we all will eat foods that are not good for us. If you eat one good meal a day from this diet, what you eat the rest of the time is up to you.

  • Is this diet based on "organic" foods?


  • Yes, all foods prepared in this diet are organic.

  • How much is raw food and how much is cooked?


  • Our recommendation is to eat about half of your food raw as in salads and fruits and the other half cooked as in pasta, potatoes, beans and tofu.

  • Do I have to run?


  • No, you do not have to run or do any exercise if you do not want to. Exercise is not a basic component of the MericleDiet. Many studies have shown that proper nutrition by itself will do more to improve health and reduce risk for disease than poor nutrition and even intensive exercise programs. Daily exercise is good for the immune system and for your mental well being but the MericleDiet does not encourage the idea that you can exercise enough to lose weight.

  • What is an ebook?


  • An ebook is a digital form of a book that can be easily downloaded onto your computer. Ebooks are becoming more popular these days because ease of delivery and conservation of paper.

  • Can this ebook hurt my computer?


  • Absolutely not. Many of these ebooks have been downloaded and there has not been a problem.

  • I am not very good with computers. What if I have a problem?


  • There are easy to follow instructions. However, if for any reason you experience difficulty downloading the ebooks, we can mail them to you for the cost of printing and mailing, usually around $5.00.
